Enjoy a proper husky safari and snowmobile safari in small group. This break is carried out within Koli and Nurmes, outside of mass tourism and embraced by nature beauty. Frozen lakes, white forests and the national scene of Finland!
Day 1 - Ease into a Karelian frame of mind
Welcome to Joensuu! Pick up your rental car from Joensuu airport or railwaystation and start your wintery adventure. After 2 hours scenery driving you head to your first destination, Bomba spa Hotel.
Accommodate yourself. At Bomba, even doing nothing is an experience. Spend some memorable moments at the Bomba house studying Karelian culture or walking the Silent Path to the Orthodox chapel. Outdoor types will be delighted by the hiking and skiing trails that go into the forest and lake from the hotel’s yard.
Finish your day by dinner and spa. There are hot and cold pools, indoors and outside. The 25-metre main pool is perfect for a fitness swim. Three very distinctive saunas and special showers ensure you ease into a Karelian frame of mind.
Day 2. Snowmobiling on the peak – Panoramic views!
After you have finished your tasty breakfast, it is time to get ready for scenery snowmobile adventure.
By snowmobile you can experience the wintry nature in new way and enter places you couldn’t without. This adventure takes you on the highest hill of the area, to witness spectacular views on the lake Pielinen and its islands. Wonder the white deep forests and enjoy the speed. On the top of Jurttivaara you’ll stop for a moment by tipi-like hut to enjoy hot drinks and snack, the scenery and silence.
Duration of the safari: 4-5hours
Driving length: 70km
Include: Introduction to snowmobiling, guiding, snack and hot drinks, winter clothing.
*18 years minimum age and valid driving license required for driver.

Day 3 – Let the Koli spirit into you
Fill your stomach with breakfast, take your stuff into car and head to Koli, the national scenes of Finland.
After one hour ride, get settled to your hotel room and explore the National park. Have a hot bath in the middle of an epic Finnish landscape that over the centuries has attracted countless travellers and artists such as Järnefelt and Sibelius. Enjoy traditional delicacies at the long table of a Karelian manor house as the Northern Lights blaze over Lake Pielinen. There are two paths you can go by to these experiences. They are each quite different, but both will spirit you away from the humdrum all the same.
Enjoy a dinner in panorama restaurant and relax in Koli Spa: Among the many pools, there are a jacuzzi, plunge pool, light and sound pool, foot baths and outdoor hot tubs from which you can admire the captivating fells around you. To crown your spa experience, you will receive a complimentary wooden bucket full of care products. After 4 pm, the age limit to enter the spa is 18.
Day 4. – Husky safari!
Toady you’ll meet the furry friends, huskies! Within this 4 hours you have time to familirize the arcitc animals and learn how to drive them. A prefessional guide will teach you how to be a musher, so you can enjoy the safari both riding and enjoying in the sledge.
The safari goes through traditional lakeland landscapes: White forests and frozen lakes without crowd. In the middle way you have a stop to pet your pack and enjoy a light lunch. This is an easy going safari without crowd with true local husky mushers!
Duration: Approxiately 4 hours, driving length approximately 2 hours.

After refreshing safari, it is lovely to enjoy a dinner and relax in Koli spa again!
Day 5 – Take the spirit to home
It is time to store the memories and spirit. Maybe last walk on Ukko-Koli, the view point of Koli National park. Take deep breaths and store the feeling into your mind and take it to home.
